I created two concepts for you to review. You will see a mood board, a floor plan, rendering, as well as furniture options for each design concept. Once you take a look at both concepts and renders, please let me know what you like and don't like about each.
Please be as specific as possible as this will help me create a final design plan that you will love! Remember, these are just initial design ideas and I can adjust and edit design elements, colors, styles, and more.
CONCEPT ONE: EARTHY GREEN
For first design concept, I focused on earthy elements with wood tones, clean lines, and deep green tones. While we discussed an L sectional or a sectional with chaise, I think whichever way we'd turn the sectional, this creates an boxed-in feel. When I tried to position it with the L being near the windows, the built in seating would be hard to access and not functional.
I think a better option would be a circular or semi circular sofa that leans into the room and mimics the shape of your living area.
I found this three seat angled sofa that would work really well in your living room. It is small enough, yet still has a comfort level with clean lines and modern feel. This particular sofa is from Ethan Allen, and the fabric and cushions can be customized to fit your needs.
I added two slim tables to each side of the sofa and an ottoman with a tabletop in front. I added a cozy accent chair to the side, accent pillows, table lamps, and art.
As you will see on the renderings, I removed your existing TV stand and placed the art on that wall. By removing the unit, the space opens up visually, which I think would be terrific.
Please take a look at the selections on the next page, as well as rendering images below. Please note, this is not the final rendering and is a visual representation only. Once you select the concept you like, I will finalize the design and create a final design image.
PS. While doing research for your direct vent fireplace, I stumbled upon a great linear fireplace that may work well in your space. I selected a fireplace with the viewing area of approximately 40x15. Should you decide to use this particular fireplace, I was informed that you can add a heat control system so that the heat can be redirected away from your TV. This would give you flexibility to mount the TV and mantle as low as you'd like for your best viewing pleasure.
